PORTRAITS

Portrait photography was always my first love — it’s where my psychology background and my skills as a photographer meet.

Inspired by Rembrandt and the Old Masters, I specialise in creating portraits that feel both timeless and contemporary — balancing technical precision with a sensitivity to character and presence. My work ranges from private commissions that celebrate milestones or reimagine personal identity, to editorial assignments for publications and narrative projects, as well as refined headshots for brands, creatives, and performers seeking images with depth and polish.

Whether sculpted by studio light or illuminated by natural light on location, each portrait is a study of character and the quiet strength that comes from truly being seen.

STREET + TRAVEL

When the day job gets technical, street photography brings me back to instinct — to seeing, not solving.

I’m drawn to the unfiltered rhythm of city life: fleeting expressions, shifting light, abandoned objects, and the quiet choreography between people and architecture. My work embraces contrast — deep shadows, sharp highlights, and the graphic shapes created as sunlight cuts through concrete canyons. Every frame is a search for beauty in the overlooked and the ordinary.

I welcome collaborations and commissioned projects that blend authentic storytelling with strong visual identity — from city streets to distant horizons.

RURAL

New contexts give rise to new directions.

After years of documenting the rhythm and energy of city life, my move from London to North Yorkshire marked the beginning of a quieter, more contemplative chapter in my work. Surrounded by open landscapes and slower rhythms, I began photographing scenes of rural life — the people, the textures, and the small rituals that define life outside the city. This body of work explores our relationship with place, weather, time, and the enduring beauty found in simplicity.

Though the setting has changed, my approach remains the same: to observe with honesty and to find meaning in the everyday.

DOCUMENTARY

One of my greatest joys as a filmmaker is creating documentaries that celebrate the work of fellow photographers and artists. I’m fascinated by the creative process — drawn to uncovering the motivations, struggles, and small moments along the way which have formed an artist’s vision. In sharing the stories that shaped my contemporaries, I hope to get us all thinking about our own growth and reveal insights that inspire and inform our own creative journeys.

PHILOSOPHICAL

I’ve always been fascinated by the why behind our creative drive — what fuels the need to make, to express, to keep going even when the process gets difficult. Some of my films explore these more philosophical questions, delving into how creativity shapes our sense of purpose and helps sustain mental health. Through this work, I aim to better understand not just how we create, but how the act of creating helps us stay grounded, curious, and alive as artists.

TUTORIAL

As part of my work, I create tutorials for photographers and filmmakers who want to move beyond technique and towards expression. Each tutorial shares practical skills while encouraging a deeper understanding of light, intention, and storytelling. After all, the camera is only a tool — the art comes from the person who stands behind it. My aim is to help others find the confidence and clarity to express their own creative voice through the lens.

THE MEANING IN THE MAKING

A Philosophy for the Creative Life.

This book weaves together personal stories with the psychological, philosophical, and spiritual practices that help me stay mentally healthy, inspired, and motivated as a “maker of things.” While I may be known primarily as a photographer, this book is for anyone who creates — filmmakers, musicians, painters, performers, writers, and beyond. Whatever your chosen medium, I hope these ideas encourage you to stay connected to your craft, your curiosity, and your creative spirit.

parable magazine

“A parable is a simple story or analogy offered to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson.”

PARABLE is my ongoing exploration of visual storytelling — a space where essays and imagery converge around a shared theme. Each edition reflects a chapter in my own evolution as a photographer, while also offering moments of vulnerability from my own story to connect with our wider human experience. Through a combination of curated photography and thoughtful prose, PARABLE fosters a space for reflection on photography as an artform whilst also seeking a greater understanding of the human condition.
